Inspired by her surrounding environment in upstate New York, nature, and her cultural history, Mary Jacobs creates traditional Iroquois Raised Beadwork. Through research of antiquated methods, her work includes traditional patterns and designs while using elements such as artisan glass, semi-precious and precious stone beads in floral designs, textiles and leather. Mary Jacobs works tell a story. Mary Jacobs exhibited in the Santa Fe Indian Art Market and First Nations Art Market in 2018.
